jenny asked: I win throughout the year, and sometimes big…but at the holidays it seems like the winning tickets are just gone! the past 3 years I get a couple of family members a $10 ticket and they never win. I’m giving them cash next year. My point is I never even break even on my scratch-offs during the holidays. I think that is just wrong! I want to hear POSITIVE stories why I should still buy them.
oh yeah ( Dallas ) but so are the others
the only reason to gamble is for the excitement the house ALWAYS wins - the only reason to buy lottery tickets is if you want to give the house a better chance of winning ( worst odds of all types of gambling )
the other side of it is - if you won ( and everyone else ) the state of Texas would quickly go broke and all of the infrastructure would collapse and then of course you would have to move to OKLAHOMA a fate worse than death
Well I don’t know about the holiday scratchoffs… but a girl that I work with won 56k a few months ago on a scratch off after taxes she ended up with 38 thousand, but if you spend more than five percent of your income on them, you should probably consider cutting down… you could save all of that money and get a guaranteed payoff with the interest you would accumulate.
your odds are about fifty fifty what i do go to the website and see which ones have not already been cleaned out and see which ones still have the big money still out there
