scratch offs
?! asked:

i was told by someone who works at the convience store that every 7th ticket is a winner and that the lottery puts the majority of big winning tickets at the end of the roll. anyone else heard this? Lottery results are easy to come by these days.
the reason i ask is there is a town here in georgia that a guy has won several million off of scratch offs within the last 4 years…could he have an accomplice that is helping him win?
well for one calling me gullible is pretty rude but i don’t buy lottery tickets because i think they are a scam anyway. this person was just talking about them. as for moral support, i doubt anyone could count on someone as rude as you for any type of support.

I’ve actually heard this to, I heard though that most the tickets that were winners are mostly towards the end, who knows if its true or not though.

Yes. That’s true in theory. But you may buy 3 and have 3 winners. Or buy 20 with no winners. 1/7 of the total tickets printed is a winner.

there used to be a part of the card that said void if removed. Scratching this panel off and scanning The card told the store operator if it was a winner. If so he would scratch of the numbers to reveal the winner and cash in.If not he would simply sell the losing card to a customer who without noticing the void if removed. Would scratch of the numbers to reveal what the store manager already knew.

I don’t buy them! I think its still possible always check that it has not been tampered with if so don’t return it to the store report it.

Sorry…that is a myth. The tickets are printed using a randomizing program. Any pattern you see is pure coincidence.

I had a few friends who tried buying hundreds of dollars worth of tickets in an effort to get both the “every seventh” winner and the end of the roll winning ticket bonaza.

In the end they did come out ahead, but only by $100 dollars. Of course this doesn’t stop my mom from scouting out rolls that are about the end, but she’s been playing for 20 years and never won more than $1000.
