Each scratchcard series (ie: £100,000 Blue, £100,000 Red, etc) is treated by the accountants as a separate business. There might be 50 million or 100 million tickets in the series with 10 or 15 x £100,000 winning cards on that particular colour series. (It doesn’t have to be a colour - it could be a Christmas Special, for example).
Even if ALL the £100,000 cards were found in the first week, the cards would still be sold until they were more or less all gone, otherwise that particular series would fail to show a profit.
I suspect that you are thinking what I would think when I bought a £5 card with a £1 million prize - are there any £1 million winning cards left? If not, I’m being conned. Well, there might not be!
However, there’s a way to find out if you’re wasting your time. Just go to Teletext on BBC1 and dial up page 556/557 (or it might be 557/558) - have a play around). This lists ALL the current scratchcards on sale and it tells you how many Jackpot cards are left to be won. This is updated every few days.
You may have a bit of a shock when you see the truth, but it’ll save you buying cards that are already Jackpot losers!
you dont its a rip of
